What this site collects, why, who handles it for us, and how to ask us to change or delete it.
The short version
- Browsing this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising trackers.
- We collect personal information only when you choose to send it: through the contact form, by email, or by phone.
- We use it to answer you and to do business with you. We do not sell it and we do not share it for advertising.
When you browse
This site does not use cookies, analytics tools, advertising pixels, or browser storage to follow you. The site and its fonts are served from our own domain.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, necessarily processes technical information to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of each request. We do not use that information to identify you.
When you use the contact form
- What you enter: name, organization, email address, phone number (optional), the reason for your message, and the message itself.
- What is recorded with it: your IP address and browser type, plus simple technical signals, such as whether the page finished loading, how long the page was open before you sent it, and whether the fields were typed in. We use these only to tell real messages from automated spam and to limit abuse.
- Where it goes: your message is stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare and is emailed to our team so a person can reply.
When you email or call us
Email sent to [email protected] or to anyone at futurevanguard.net is delivered and stored by Google Workspace. If you call, we keep only the notes we need to follow up.
The ethics reporting channel
Reports made through our ethics reporting channel are governed by our whistleblower policy. No IP address or browser information is stored with a report. To prevent abuse, the channel keeps only a one-way scrambled value derived from the network address and the hour, stored separately, which cannot be traced back to a report or a person.
Portfolio demonstrations
Our portfolio includes working sample builds made for other organizations. A few interactive map demonstrations load map software from unpkg.com and map images from OpenStreetMap and CARTO when you open them; those providers receive your IP address as part of that request. Some demonstrations also link to other websites, which have their own privacy practices.
How we use and share information
- To reply to you, discuss or perform work, and keep ordinary business records.
- To protect the site and our inbox from spam and abuse.
- To comply with the law, for example in response to a valid legal request.
- We share information only with the service providers that run these systems for us (Cloudflare for hosting, database and message delivery; Google Workspace for email), or when the law requires it.
- We do not sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it for automated decisions about you.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep messages for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, to carry out any resulting work, and to keep business records, and then delete them. Information travels to and from this site over an encrypted connection, and access to stored messages is limited to the people who need it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We honor these requests wherever you live. Because we do not track visitors across websites, there is nothing to opt out of for Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
